Bomber Long A

Product Description

The Bomber Long A is legendary jerkbait and has long been the #1 choice among avid anglers. True-running and tough, the Long A earned its reputation at the top, fish by fish, fisherman by fisherman.

Anglers can't be fooled… nothing replaces quality, strength and versatility. Nothing can replace Bomber's Long A. Its slender, minnow design is ideal for twitching for bass and casting or trolling for big walleye, salmon and other gamefish. Cast-and-retrieve it at a slow, constant pace for trout and other species.

Bomber Long A - Swimming Action

When trolled or retrieved at a constant pace, the Bomber Long A mimics the lifelike swimming action of a minnow. This behaviour changes drastically when a “twitch-twitch-pause” cadence is used, resulting in erratic darting to the side.

Be sure to watch the Long A how-to video in the video tab above.

The Long A can even be used behind downriggers to get at the really deep fish.

We carry a broad range of bomber colour patterns ranging from the proven looks to the new high-tech so you can always have the right colour on hand for your fishing conditions.

I did not purchase this lure. I inherited 3 of them in different colour patterns from my late father, along with a great many other tackle items. I trolled them in Lake Erie for walleye last summer. One colour pattern in particular was a game changer. It produced hits and fish like no other piece of tackle in my collection. Unfortunately the party ended when a big old rainbow broke my 15 pound test leader like sewing thread. Since I inherited this item, I didn’t know what it was. After a bunch of leg work and a trip to your site, now I do. I will be picking up some more. By the time that the offending rainbow swiped mine it was covered in scrapes and teeth marks and it still ran true and had a great action. It proved extremely durable and hardy considering the punishment it received. If you don’t have a few of these in your collection, your leaving walleye (and rainbow) in the lake that would otherwise be in your boat (or belly). You folks stock the widest selection that I have seen in Canada (including the particular colour pattern that was so effective for me) and have a great site and will be my source for this and more items. My father fished on the West Arm of Lake Nippissing for many years, so who knows … maybe he got it from your shop. Thank you and thanks Dad.
